About Clark County Auto Auction
Clark County Auto Auction is the largest public auto auction in the Midwest region and is a proud member of the National Association of Public Auto Auctions. In 2006, Clark County Auto Auction completed a brand new ultra-modern 14,111 sq ft auction facility. The building includes administrative offices, four-lane sale arena, reconditioning center and transportation offices. Clark County Auto Auction specializes in the sale of bank and finance company repossessions, lease remarketing, new car dealership trades, used car dealership trades, donated vehicles, individual vehicles, government vehicles and fleets. Due to the sale of repossessions, government vehicles and other varied organizations Clark County Auto Auction is a public sale that allows any individual or organization to purchase any vehicle at auction. Clark County Auto Auction hosts live public consignment sales at the auction facility every Wednesday at 6:00PM Eastern Time. The vehicles are offered for sale to any individual or organization that attends and meets the requirements of the auction.  Insurance regulations prohibit children under the age of 16 on auction premises.


How to Buy a vehicle at CCAA

Buying Requirements
- Over 18 years of age
- Valid US Drivers License
- Proof of Insurance

Registration
Public buyers must register in the office and obtain a bidder badge in order to bid at the auction and enter the secured lot. Public registration opens at 3:00PM on sale day. There is a $400 cash deposit due for a bidder badge. With each deposit a buyer is allowed one guest (over 16 years of age) and allowed to purchase one vehicle. If a public buyer desires to buy multiple vehicles, a $400 deposit is due for each bid number. 

Inspection
Public Inspection opens on Wednesday at 3:00PM. Buyers are encouraged to inspect vehicles prior to the sale and well in advance to purchasing vehicles. Buyers are responsible to ensure that they are aware of the price the auctioneer is offering, the sale price of a vehicle is not subject to arbitration.

Payment
The balance of money owed on the vehicle should be paid by 4:00PM the next business day after the sale. A buyers fee and sales tax is also applicable to each vehicle sold at public auction. Payment can be made in the form of cash or cashiers check.

IF Sales
In the event a vehicle is sold on an IF (conditional sale pending the sellers approval) it will be confirmed sold or not sold by Thursday at 2:00PM. The purchasers deposit will be held until confirmation is received or until the time deadline.

Buy Now
If a vehicle is not purchased on auction day or for those buyers who do not feel comfortable with the fast paced process of the live bidding environment. There is a Buy Now program. This buying option consist of vehicles that did not sell through the live auction and will be displayed and available for purchase on Thursday from 9:00AM - 6:30PM and Friday from 9:00AM - 4:30PM. A listing of vehicles will be available in the registration office and online, the list includes vehicle information and the sellers asking price. Persons must be 18 years of age and hold a valid US drivers license to obtain access to the secured auction lot.

Title Information
The seller has 21 days to produce a free and clear title to the auction title department. Once the title is approved, the purchaser will be contacted and may pickup the title from the auction or the title will be mailed via priority mail and will require a signature upon delivery. If the seller cannot produce the title in the allotted time, the purchasers option is to return the vehicle for a full and complete refund of the sale price, buyers fee and any sales tax applicable. Temporary tags or any other expenses will not be refunded. 

In the event the purchaser wishes to return the vehicle after 21 days, purchaser must make arrangements with the Auction Title Department 24 hours prior to returning the vehicle. If the purchaser calls to arrange for return of a vehicle and the Auction has received, or mailed title, the purchaser must keep the vehicle.  If the title has not been received the purchaser can bring the vehicle to the auction. The Auction Arbitration Department has the right to refuse the return of any vehicle it feels has excessive mileage or damage, including mechanical conditions. In the event the purchaser arranges for the return of a vehicle and the vehicle is not returned within the specified time, the return arrangements will be cancelled and the sale will be reinstated.  There is no recourse after time limitations have expired. 


How to Sell a vehicle at CCAA

Selling Requirements
-Valid US Drivers License
-Certificate of Title
-Valid State Registration or Tax Certificate

Registration
Vehicle registration opens on Thursday at 3:00PM prior to the auction and closes on sale day at 5:00PM. The auction assigns car numbers on a first come first serve basis. It is normal for the auction to be full and close before 5:00PM on sale day. Sellers are encouraged to drop off vehicles on days prior to the auction.
Vehicle Registration is $45.00, which will be deducted from the sale proceeds if sold, along with the seller fee. If the vehicle is not sold, the $45.00 is due upon vehicle pickup. Methods of payment are cash or cashiers check.

Reserve
The auction is with reserve; it is the seller’s option to accept the bid price. Vehicles not sold at auction must be picked up by Thursday at 5:00PM or re-registered for the following consignment sale.

Disclosure
All sellers are responsible for vehicle disclosures as outlined in the Clark County Auto Auction policies and procedures handbook. These disclosures include odometer discrepancies, previous salvage vehicles, commercial vehicles, etc.

Payment
A check will be issued from Clark County Auto Auction upon presentation of accepted title to the title department. If an individual purchases the vehicle, the buyer must pay for the vehicle in full before a check will be issued to the seller. Payment will be made payable to the name printed on the title.

Vehicles are left on the auction premises at the owner’s request and risk; the auction is not responsible for loss, theft or damage.
